PESHAWAR, July 20: Tension gripped the Shah Qabool area of the walled city, when some people attacked and injured the caretaker of an Imambargah on Wednesday. According to some people of the area, some people on a motorbike opened fire on Aftab Ali, the caretaker of Jagir Shehzada Ali Akbar Imambargah, near his home. He suffered a bullet injury and was admitted to the Lady Ready Hospital. His condition is stated to be out of danger.

Aftab Ali, in his complaint, has accused four members of the Babus Salam mosque committee of trying to kill him. They are: a Khadim of the Babus Salam mosque Haji Shafi; advocate Omar Ayaz; Zulfiqar Ali, a banker; and Asif.

Zulfiqar Ali and Asif have surrendered to police.

SEIZED: The crime cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two persons under the copyright act. Soft drink manufacturing machines and a large quantity of soap have been seized, officials said.

The FIA on Wednesday raided a factory on Dohra road in Afridiabad locality of Yakatoot and arrested Malik Khurram Shehzad on charges of producing soft drink using the name of an international brand.
