KARACHI: Searle Company Ltd on Thursday announced that it has made no announcement to date regarding its plan of acquiring OBS Pakistan Ltd.

Clarifying news reports appeared in a section of press, the Searle informed the stock exchange that no formal discussions or negotiations for acquisition of OBS Pakistan Ltd have taken place between the company and OBS or its sponsors as part of its ongoing business development strategy.

Searle said it is regularly involved in exploring and evaluating various business and investment opportunities to enhance capacity and achieve further market growth which could include OBS Pakistan as well.
