KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Thursday claimed to have arrested three suspects, including two extortionists.

The arrests were made in raids in various parts of the city.

The paramilitary force conducted actions in the Nabi Bux and Garden areas and apprehended two suspects — Osama, alias Chhotoo, and Shoaib Ali.

“The held suspects belo­nged to the Lyari gang warfare and were involved in extortion,” said a Rangers spokesperson.

Separately, the Rangers detained one suspect, Salih Mohammed, alias Sawali, in Memon Goth who was also affiliated with the Lyari gang warfare. He was involved in street crimes and drug sale.

Illegal arms and ammunition, looted goods and drugs were seized from them.

Subsequently, the detained suspects were handed over to the police concerned for further legal action.
