KARACHI: An additional capital of 16 million euros is expected to be injected in Dawlance this year while new equipment and machinery are being deployed to further expand the company’s product range, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Arcelik Mr Ozuzhan Ozturk said.

A press release issued following the CTO’s visit to Pakistan said that since acquiring Dawlance in 2016, Arçelik — Turkey’s largest enterprise — has invested more than 36 million euros in its Pakistani subsidiary to improve productivity through research and development of new products.

More investments also are being made in product-designing and design-facilities, the release added.

Mr Ozturk held meetings with corporate leaders and operational teams of Dawlance besides visiting manufacturing facilities at Karachi and Hyderabad.
