SHEIKHUPURA: A three-year-old boy died after being administered an injection by a private doctor in Nankana Sahib on Saturday.

According to reports, Ijaz brought his son Ali Fizan to a private clinic run by Dr Asim Ghafoor in Tehsil Chowk, Nankana Sahib.

The doctor administered an injection to the child after which the boy died.

Later, the family protested against the doctor and also ransacked his clinic.

The Nankana police reached the spot and took the doctor into custody.

Meanwhile, deputy district health officer Shoukat Wattoo has sealed the clinic and started investigation.

PRICE CONTROL PANEL: The price control committee chairman raided different markets and shops in the city and booked dozens of shopkeepers on charges of overcharging on Saturday.

The team, led by assistant commissioner Fazail Mudassar, sent the shopkeepers behind bars and also imposed fine on them.

Later, the traders association protested against the AC.

Association president Chaudhry Shahzad demanded that the government take action hoarders who sell goods at exorbitant rates.

The president demanded that the administration release all the shopkeepers and withdraw fine imposed on them.
