FAISALABAD, July 15: The BISE on Friday announced annual matriculation results with a pass percentage of 52.13. As many as 105,218 candidates from educational institutions of Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh districts appeared in the examination. Of them, 54,852 were declared successful. A girl student, Rehan Aziz, of the Islamic science academy girls high school, Nishatabad captured overall first position by getting 795 marks. Syed Kamran Haider of the government high school, Jhang stood second with 792 marks. However, overall third position was shared by Faisal Abbas of the Faran model school, Jhang and Attaul Wahab Afzal of the government high school, Toba Tek Singh by getting 788 marks.

In science group (boys), Kamran Haider stood first, Faisal Abbas and Attaul Wahab Afzal second and Fahim Zafar, of government high school, Pirmahal, TT Singh bagged third position with 787 marks.

In science group (girls), Rehan Aziz stood first, Armaghana Ali of the Chenab girls College, Jhang second and Maryam Ashraf of the Ghazali public high school, Jhang Sadar, third by getting 795, 783 and 779 marks respectively.

In boys general group, Muhammad Ejaz Husain of government high school, Chak no. 205-JB, Jhang clinched first position with 694 marks. Asghar Ali of government higher secondary school, Kamalia, TT Singh got second position with 657 marks while Syed Hasan Raza of Muhammad Bin Qasim science academy, Tandlianwala, Faisalabad stood third with 653 marks.

In girls general group, Marjana Liaquat of the Kamil Foundation secondary school, Jinnah Colony, Faisalabad got first position with 748 marks while Hafiza Sania Latif of Mian Nazir Husain model secondary school, Jaranwala and Nazia Tufail of government girls high school No. 1, TT Singh stood second and third with 744 and 740 marks respectively.

Punjab Communications Minister Zaheeruddin Khan distributed prizes, medals and certificates among position holders.
