GWADAR: Four militants, including the leader of a banned outfit, were killed in separate clashes with security forces in Kech district on Friday.

According to official sources, the security forces launched an operation in the Gradhank area of Buleda tehsil on a tip-off about the presence of the suspected militants and surrounded their hideout. During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire took place, leaving three militants dead. They were identified as banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) ‘commander’ Zaheer, Naeem and Khair Baksh.

In a separate armed clash in Balgather area, militant Muhammad Akbar was killed. BLF spokesman Gohram Baloch confirmed killing of the group’s members in the shootout with security forces.
