LAKKI MARWAT: The journalist community here has condemned the murder of their colleague in Dera Ismail Khan district and urged the government to take notice of the incident.

At a meeting held here in Lakki city on Wednesday, the mediapersons said that Malik Amanullah, chairman of Parowa Press Club, was targeted by unknown assailants in broad daylight when he was going home. They said that the journalist’s murder was condemnable and the government should take notice of it.

Lakki Press Club vice-president Gul Tayaz, Irfanullah, Younas Hasrat and others attended the meeting. The speakers demanded of the police and law enforcement agencies to trace the attackers.

They asked the government to take the murder of Amanullah as a test case and ensure arrest of the killers.
