DERA GHAZI KHAN: A clash between two tribal groups claimed six lives on Saturday in the jurisdiction of Bangla Ichha police in Rujhan tehsil of Rajanpur.

Sources told Dawn the clash broke out between Banoon and Dolani clans on the occurrence of motorcycle snatching in the area.

Sources said five Dolani people died in the heavy crossfire. They were identified as Qutab, Nazar, Abdul Shakoor, Abdul Kareem and Shahbaz.

Sources added that the outlaws in rival clans were the main cause of the fatal clash.

Rujhan Divisional Police Officer Rana Jan Muhammed told Dawn that six tribesmen had lost their lives in the clash, and of them, one was from the Banoon clan. He maintained that at present the situation was in control and the police taking legal action.
