Teenager dies

ISLAMABAD, July 14: Negligence on the part of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) claimed the life of a teenage boy here on Thursday. According to police, Mir Sher Jan, 14, fell into a ditch full of water in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station. People present at the scene rushed to his rescue and retrieved him from the ditch, but he died before reaching the hospital. The body was later shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.

The CDA authorities had dug the site for construction and most of the ditches were full of rain water.

Our staff reporter from Pindi adds: Four robbers looted Rs1.5 million from two persons on Thursday.

Qaisar Mehmood lodged a complaint with Banni police, stating that he along with Sheikh Imran was heading home in his car after drawing cash from a bank in Satellite Town when four persons also in a car intercepted them near National Market and snatched the cash at gunpoint.
