PESHAWAR: The All Pakistan Girls and Boys Table Tennis Championship started at the Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex in Charsadda on Friday.

Twenty-five contestants, including boys and girls, from Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are taking part in the championship featuring categories of girls singles, boys singles, team event and mix doubles.

In the opening match, promising Ummam Khawjah defeated Basit Ali 11-7, 8-11, 11-9 while Iqra Rehman beat Nimra Rehman 11-7, 6-11, 11-8 in another match.
