PESHAWAR: The police have decided to verify the particulars of the people, who have rented houses in the provincial capital.

The decision comes in the wake of the police’s encounter with terrorists in Hayatabad area.

A statement issued here said the city police had begun re-verification of tents in the provincial capital and had decided to re-examine particulars of property dealers, tenants and their guarantors, for verification.

It said the decision had been made following the discovery of fake tenant information receipts from the terrorists’ residence in Hayatabad.
