LAHORE: Six more matches were decided on the second day of the Ndure National Volleyball Championships at the Punjab Gymnasium Hall here on Tuesday.

Railways won their opening match against Gilgit Baltistan easily 25-19, 25-16, 25-10. Gilgit-Baltistan, who struggled hard to win their first match against Azad Kashmir, proved a low par side against the Railways as the latter continued their supremacy from the word go.

Police humbled Fata 25-13, 25-8, 25-16 in another one-sided encounter of the day.

However, Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) faced good opposition from Punjab before winning in straight sets with a close margin in every set as the scores were 25-21, 25-22, 25-18. Though the Punjab team showed good resistance in the first two sets, it exhausted in the third set to lose the match.

Giants Wapda faced little opposition from Azad Jammu and Kashmir before wrapping up victory with scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-21.

In the fifth match, Navy defeated the Higher Education Commission 25-23, 25-17 and 25-22. Army had a cakewalk against Balochistan as the former won 25-9, 25-13, 25-14.
