LAHORE: The Lahore U-16 team clinched the boxing event of the Annual Punjab Sports Board calendar with 102 points here on Monday night.

Gujranwala finished second with 53 points while Sargodha managed the third position with 52 points.

In girls’ cricket, which started at the Lahore College for Women University, the Lahore team defeated Sahiwal by nine wickets. In another match, Faisalabad defeated Multan by 25 runs and Sargodha defeated Gujranwala at the same venue.

In boys’ cricket, Sahiwal trounced Gujranwala by 26 runs at Punjab University New Campus ground.

In kabaddi, Sargodha stunned Lahore 41-22 at the Punjab Stadium while Faisalabad defeated Multan 35-13. Sahiwal overwhelmed DG Khan 24-12 in the third match.
