QUETTA: Seven people were killed and 20 others injured in a collision between a passenger coach and a dumper truck in Khuzdar district on Friday.

Levies officials said the Quetta-bound coach coming from Karachi collided with a dumber in the Wadh area, some 60km west of Khuzdar. Six passengers died on the spot. They said the accident took place when both vehicles were trying to overtake each other.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Wadh. Later, 10 of them were shifted to the teaching hospital in Khuzdar where another succumbed to injuries.

The deceased include two brothers of Quetta. Both the driver and cleaner of the coach were also killed.

The critically injured people were sent to a hospital in Karachi.
