KARACHI, July 11: The senior vice-president of Pakistan Muslim League, Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh, on Monday thanked the prime minister, central leadership of the PML and workers who had expressed confidence on him and urged the party workers to accelerate mass contact campaign.

This he said while talking to the PML leaders and workers after the hearing of his bail application in the Sindh High Court.

He asked the party workers to play their role for the success of the like-minded candidates of the PML in the forthcoming local bodies’ poll.

Mr Sheikh said that the holding of local bodies’ election was the continuation of President Pervez Musharraf’s policies which would strengthen democracy and the democratic institutions in the country.

He hoped that the court would give him justice by rejecting the corruption charges against him.—PPI
