IN Dawn (Feb 17) there was an advertisement from the Anti-Corruption Establishment, East Zone Karachi, captioned: ‘Fraud Alert’. Ironically, the name of Fazaia Housing Scheme, Karachi, is also mentioned at Sr. # 123 of this advertisement as an illegal housing scheme, and buyers have been warned to shun any deal in this scheme.
Being an allottee of the housing scheme, this is very embarrassing and disappointing for me, especially when I have deposited nine installments along with a down payment.
Being a stakeholder in the housing scheme, my concern is genuine and legitimate.
Despite several emails, no concrete response has been given by Fazaia Housing Scheme regarding the legal status of their operation, till to date, except demanding further installments.
This is an alarming situation. The good name of the Pakistan Air Force is being misused. I request the prime minister, Federal Ombudsman, National Accountability Bureau and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to look into the matter to ascertain the legal status of Fazaia Housing Scheme.
