KARACHI: Town police officers named

KARACHI, Jan 12: The Sindh home department has redesignated several posts in the Sindh police department in pursuance of the amendments made in the Police Act and to create a capital city police in Karachi under the newly-introduced system.

Additional superintendent of police-Malir has been redesignated as town police officer, Saddar with police stations of Saddar, Garden, Preedy, Nabi Bukhsh, Aram Bagh, Eidgah, Risala, Napier, City Court, Kharadar, Mithadar and Artillery Maidan.

Additional superintendent of police-II, south, has been redesignated as town police officer of Clifton with police stations Clifton, Boat Basin, Darakhshan, Gizri, Defence, Frere and Civil Line.

Additional superintendent of police-I, central, has been redesignated as town police officer of Gulshan-i-Iqbal with police stations Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Tipu Sultan, Bahadurabad, New Town, PIB Colony, Aziz Bhatti, Gulistan-i-Johar, Mobeena Town and Sachal.

Additional superintendent of police-I, west, has been redesignated as town police officer of Keamari with police stations Jackson, TPX, Docks, Mauripur, Shershah and KPT.

Additional superintendent of police-II, west, has been redesignated as town police officer Liaquatabad with police stations Liaquatabad, Supermarket, Sharifabad, Gulbahar, Rizvia and Nazimabad.

Additional superintendent of police-I, south, has been redesignated as town police officer Gulberg with police stations Gulberg, Azizabad, Joharabad, Samanabad and F.B. Industrial Area.

Additional superintendent of police-I, east, has been redesignated as town police officer Jamshed with police stations Jamshed Quarters, Mehmoodabad, Baloch Colony, Soldier Bazar, Brigade and Ferozabad.

Additional superintendent of police-II, east, has been redesignated as town police officer Shah Faisal with police stations Shah Faisal Colony, Sharea Faisal, Al-Falah, Airport and Malir Cantt.

Superintendent of police, Malir, has been redesignated as town police officer Landhi Town with police stations Landhi, Korangi Industrial Area, Sharafi Goth and Quaidabad.

Superintendent of police traffic west has been redesignated as town police officer, Bin Qasim with police Stations Bin Qasim, Steel Town, Shah Latif town, Ibrahim Hydri and Sukhan.

The existing posts of deputy superintendents of police have also been redesignated which include: town police officer Nazimabad with police stations North Nazimabad, Paposh Nagar, Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan, Taimuria and Sir Syed; town police officer New Karachi with police stations New Karachi, North Karachi, N.K.I. area, Buffer Zone and Khawaja Ajmer; town police officer Baldia with police stations Baldia, Saeedabad and Mochko; town police officer Orangi with police stations Orangi town, Orangi Extension and Mominabad; town police officer Gadap with police stations of Gadap, Gulzar Hijri, Surjani Town and Manghopir; town police officer Korangi with police stations of Korangi and Zaman town; town police officer SITE with police stations of SITE, Pak Colony and Pirabad and town police officer Lyari with police stations Baghdadi, Kalri, Chakiwara and Kalakot.—APP
