KARACHI: Recently formed Karachi Development Authority (KDA) women’s hockey team chalked up a 2-0 victory over visiting Hyderabad in the Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah women’s hockey league at the KHA Hockey Complex on Sunday.

Fatima Zehra and Momal Sukaina scored one goal apiece for the winners.

Hyderabad had opened the three-team league on a winning note scoring a solitary goal victory over Karachi on Saturday.

Sobia Shahzad earned the scoring honours for the visiting outfit.

The event, which is held under the auspices of KHA, is being held as part of Pakistan Day celebrations.

Mrs Uzma Salahuddin graced the opening ceremony and was introduced with the teams.
