No hostel

Published March 19, 2019

ATTA Shad Degree College in Turbat is the hub of education for students of district Kech. More than 3,000 students are enrolled here. After doing their high school, students from different areas of the district come here for their college education. However, it is unfortunate that there is no hostel facility at the college.

Students are forced to rent rooms which are too expensive for them to afford. As a result, most students have to leave their studies incomplete.

The college hostel has been closed since 2014 for unknown reasons and no measures have been taken by the authorities to make it functional again.

I think it is imperative for the government to provide students with the opportunity to complete their education.

I request the deputy commissioner of Turbat and Cheif Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani to reopen the hostel as soon as possible.
