CHITRAL, July 7: Two brothers died and seven others suffered injuries when their jeep fell into a ravine near Shandur polo ground on Wednesday night. Nine people were going to attend the Shandur festival in the jeep which developed a fault and met the accident. As a result Sardar Zameer and Mubarak Zameer of Sonoghoor village died on the spot and seven others were injured and later taken to a hospital in Booni.

Meanwhile, the three-day Shandur festival began here on Thursday.

President Gen Pervez Musharraf is likely to witness final match of a polo tournament on the concluding day of the festival on Saturday.—Correspondent
