KARACHI: Visitors Hyderabad taught a lesson to local Pakistan Veterans Reds registering a 2-0 victory as the Super Six round of the Veterans Hockey League resumed after a fortnight at the Olympian Islahuddin-Dr M. A. Shah Hockey Stadium on Saturday.

Mohammad Tahir scored a brace in a short span of four minutes (13th, 17th) for the winners.

Earlier, Pakistan Veterans Yellows fought back from deficit to hold Sherwani Motors to a 2-2 draw. Former Olympian right winger Qamar Ibrahim struck a goal off a penalty corner in the 33rd minute to reduce the deficit while Mohammad Ali drew level three minutes later through a field goal.

Earlier, Zafar shot his team into the lead in the 10th minute while Naseer doubled it in the 16th.

In another match, Dolphin Veterans overcame Tiger veterans 3-2 to earn full points. Khurram Khan netted twice, both off penalty corners in the fifth and 11th minutes while Muzammil completed the tally in the 35th. Syed Ali scored both the goals for the losing side.
