LAHORE: The Punjab Artists Association’s annual visual art exhibition will open at Alhamra Art Centre on March 9. It will be inaugurated by President Arif Alvi.

This will be the 16th national and 33rd Punjab-level exhibition. Around 300 artworks are expected to be displayed at the exhibition by artists from across Pakistan.

A seminar in connection with the exhibition would also be held on March 10 at Alhamra. This travelling exhibition will go to Islamabad after Lahore and would be displayed at Pakistan National Council of Arts.

The moving spirit behind Punjab Artists Association, veteran artist Ghulam Mustafa, said that the exhibition would be attended by a large number of people, including artists, students and people from different walks of life. He said veteran visual artists will speak at the seminar and read their papers.

The exhibition would remain on display for a week.
