Female artist murdered in Mardan

PESHAWAR: A female artist was murdered in Choora area of Mardan district on Friday.

Mardan district police officer Sajjad Khan identified the artist as Lubna alias Gulalai who was living with her sister in Gul Abad Qazi Town area of Peshawar.

He said that her sister charged Nawab, Fazal Malik and Shah Hussain with the murder after her body was recovered by cops from Choora area of Mardan. He said that the slain had had gone with these three persons in a car.

He said that two of the accused identified as Shah Husssain and Fazal Malik had been arrested and the car recovered while efforts were underway to arrest the third accused.

The Mardan DPO said that the deceased was married to Mohammad Imran with whom she had a child. She was, however, living with her sister, Sabrina after differences with her husband.
