KHAR: The All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance on Thursday staged a rally against the killing of three labourers from Bajaur tribal district in Sindh last week.

The protesters, who belonged to different walks of life, marched through the Khar Bazaar holding placards and shouting slogans against the Sindh government and Larkana police over failure to arrest the killers of the labourers after the passage of more than one week.

The speakers including alliance president Maulana Waheed Gul, Khan Bahadar, Abdul Manan, Attaullah Khan and Said Ahmed Jan said many labourers from Bajaur had been killed in Sindh and Punjab provinces during the last couple of years but unfortunately, the killers continued to be at large.

They said the brutal killing of three labourers in Larkana city was a matter of serious concern for the residents of Bajaur tribal district as it had caused a sense of insecurity among the locals working in Sindh and Punjab.

The speakers criticised the Sindh government and Larkana police for not arresting killers.

They also slammed the state minister for interior and local lawmakers over indifferences to Larkana killings.

The speakers said the people of Bajaur district, including activists of political and religious parties, jointly sought speedy action against killers and would make all-out efforts to force the Sindh government to do so.

They said their protest would continue until killers were held.

The speakers said similar rallies would be staged in Inayat Kalli and Nawagai bazaars on Saturday and Monday, respectively.

The Khar-Timargara Highway remained closed to traffic during the protest, which lasted around two hours, while shops and other business outlets in Khar were also remained shut.

Also in the day, a six-member delegation of the All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance left for Larkana.

Qari Abdul Majeed, head of the delegation, said the delegates would Sindh ministers and police officials to seek speedy action against the killers of labourers.

He said the delegation would also meet people of Bajaur living in Larkana and other cities of Sindh and would stay there until justice was dispensed to the relevant families.
