NAROWAL: Police on Saturday arrested 16 people for violating ban on kite flying in various parts of the city.

The city police registered cases against 14 young men including Muhammad Khalil, Mudassar, Kamran, Saeed, Hamza and Ajmal and the Saddar police against two persons.

People flew kites in Shakargarh, Zafarwal and Narowal and big towns such as Baddomalhi, Qila Ahmadabad, Dhamthal, Noor Kot and Kanjroorh.

According to hospital sources, more than 25 young men were wounded either by falling from roof or due to fighting or string cut. They were discharged after first aid.

Hamza Shahzad, 4, a resident of Farooq Ganj, Narowal was going for tuition when his hand received deep cut by chemical string. He was taken to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital.
