KARACHI: Two-day trials to select Karachi basketball team for participation in National Grade B Basketball Championship will be held on Feb 9-10 at Arambagh basketball courts.

A selection committee headed by international player Muhammad Yaqoob has been formed to witness the trials. Other members of the committee are Fawad Ali, Zafar Iqal, Ghulam Rasool, Ashraf Yahya and Tariq Hussain .

It may be mentioned here that the National Basketball Championship will be played in Islamabad from Feb 26 to March 2.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing Kashmir Cup basketball tournament being held here to express solidarity with Kashmiris, Binoria Club beat Usman Club 55-50 in a close match. For the winners, leading scorers were Saiful (20 points), Zaidi and Mohammad Yousuf (10 points each).

For the losing side, Faizan Yousuf (21 points), Hasan Iqbal (18 points) and Usman Khwaja (10 points) were the main scorers.
