QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has alleged that previous governments had not paid any attention to Quetta’s master plan designed to beautify the city and to provide basic facilities to its residents.

He was talking to journalists after visiting the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) on Thursday. The chief minister said that the present government was focusing on plans to restore the beauty of the provincial capital and improve civic services.

Mr Alyani was briefed on QMC’s plans for the city. Newly-appointed Administrator of QMC Ghulam Farooq Langove and other officials attended the briefing.

“I’m astonished why previous governments did nothing for the city and due to their lethargy and negligence Quetta has now become a pile of garbage,” the chief minister said, adding that the present government would take measures to restore old beauty of the provincial capital.

Provincial Information Minister Zahoor Buledi and Adviser to the CM on the Quetta Development Authority Bushra Rind also attended the briefing.
