RAWALPINDI: Two women were allegedly sexually assaulted in separate incidents on Wednesday.

One of the victims told police she was home alone when people impersonating security officials entered her house. She said in her complaint that the intruders locked the gate from inside and snatched her mobile phone.

She told police she was sexually assaulted by seven individuals.

The intruders also stole gold jewellery, two televisions and Rs177,000 in cash and escaped after locking her in from outside.

When contacted, a police official said a case had been registered on the victim’s complaint and raids were ongoing to arrest those involved.

Separately, a woman was raped in the limits of the Airport police.

The victim said in an FIR that she was raped by a man who lived near the sewing centre in Dhoke Gangal, where she was an instructor. She said the man attacked her and then fled.

The police are searching for the suspect, who is currently at large.
