KARACHI, July 2: Clothes were distributed among inmates of the Special Prison for Women by an NGO on Saturday. Each of more than 140 local prisoners was provided with a full suit (shalwar, qameez and dupatta) whereas the 90 foreigners were provided with one maxi each. About 35 children living with their imprisoned mothers were also given gift packs. Soft drinks were served to all the inmates on the occasion.

Jail Superintendent Sheeba Shah told Dawn that the women belonging to the NGO, who preferred to remain anonymous, had visited the prison a few days back to take measurement of the inmates’ suits.
