ISLAMABAD: A reference was held on Wednesday in memory of renowned actor Roohi Bano at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

Speaking at the event, PNCA Director General Jamal Shah said Bano would be remembered for her matchless performances.

Bano left her mark on every character and ruled Pakistan Television for a long time because of her unique style and expression.

Her fans waited for her plays, which included Kirin Khani, Zard Gulab, Herat Kada and Qilla Kahani.

Mr Shah said artists always try to give a positive message and make their surroundings beautiful.

Other speakers also paid tribute to the legendary actor and remembered her roles on television.

They highlighted her contribution to PTV and said that although Bano was no longer with us, she would remain alive in the hearts of her fans.

The speakers shared their memories and interactions with Bano, and said Pakistani artists faced hardships at the end of their lives.

They said the government should look into the affairs of art and artists and take suitable measures to address the problems artists face.

Fateha was also offered for the deceased.
