KARACHI: A member of the Sindh Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Ramzan Ghanchi, was shot at and wounded in an old city area in the limits of Napier police station on Thursday night.

City SSP Muquddus Haider told Dawn that as per initial report a scuffle broke out between the MPA and Timber Market Association president Suleman Soomro and his two sons reportedly over a ‘waterline’. Mr Ghanchi claimed that he was attacked by Mr Soomro and his sons. He sustained a bullet wound on his leg. He was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital where sources said he was in stable condition.

The SSP said he had issued directives for the arrest of the suspects.
