KARACHI: Mairaj invited to APC

KARACHI, June 30: Adviser to the CM on Excise and Taxation M. A. Jalil on Wednesday night delivered an invitation to noted politician Mairaj Mohammed Khan for the All-Parties Conference (APC) on a code of conduct for local bodies elections. The APC is being organized by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement for July 3.

Mr Jalil, who was accompanied by MPA Akhtar Ali Bilgrami, said on the occasion that it was need of the hour that all political parties were made to truly believe that there would be complete peace during the local bodies elections.

Appreciating the MQM initiative, Mr Khan said it was necessary to take all parties into confidence with regard to the elections.

Later, Mr Jalil and Mr Bilgrami went to the residence of PML leader Khan Amanullah Khan invited him to the conference.—APP
