KARACHI: A small three-race card has been drawn for the winter Gymkhana race meeting which takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

Initially, four-race handicap was issued on Thursday but one race was declared void for lack of competition when the acceptances were finalised on Friday, the KRC officials said.

All the three races sans the cup race will be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The third and last race which envisaged a field of five horses is also the day’s feature event, combined top scale order I, II and III.

The first race gets into action at 3pm.

Following is the field and selection:

THE BROAD PEAK PLATE SCALE ORDER V, VI, AND VII 4 ½ F: Pari 9-2, I Gold 8-10, Black Smoke 8-8, Sonia Again 8-3, Mehak 7-4, Fire N Furry 7-2, Big Boy Blue 7-2, Fakhr-e-Kashmir 7-0.

Win: Fire N Furry. Place: I Gold and Pari. THE BROAD PEAK PLATE SCALE ORDER IV AND V 4 ½ F: Tip Top 9-0, Native Prince 8-11, Lovely Baby 8-7, Don Khalifa 8-1, Duran Duran 7-13.

Win: Native Prince. Place: Don Khalifa. THE BROAD PEAK PLATE SCALE ORDER I, II AND III 4 ½ F: Swarovski 9-2, Ghazi Gift 8-6, Salam-e-Kaif 8-4, Dhannak 8-2, Baab-e-The Rani 7-5.

Win: Swarovski. Place: Salam-e-Kaif.
