PESHAWAR: The City police suspended three policemen deputed for security of judicial complex here and ordered security audit of red zone buildings after a cop in plainclothes managed to enter the judicial complex with a gun on his body undetected in a sting.

A statement issued here said that security audit of government offices, colleges, universities and other installations would be carried out after a cop carrying gun on him managed to enter the judicial complex undetected on Wednesday.

It said SP cantonment circle Waseem Riaz had ordered the sting to check security at the judicial complex gate. The complex has witnessed militant attacks as well as incidents of firing on the court premises in the past.

The suspended cops were identified as Khalil, Rashid Azam and Irfan Khan who were deputed at complex gate to check the visitors.
