Hamza crowned U-16 snooker champion

ISLAMABAD: Sixth seed Mohammad Hamza Ilyas shocked third seed Kamran Albert Masih in the Jubilee Insurance U-16 National Snooker Championship final here at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Hamza of Punjab comfortably won the match 87-26, 61-34, 61-39, 55-28 to clinch the national title.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kamran, who reached the final after registering an upset victory against top seed Umar Khan in the semi-final, could not put up any resistance against Hamza in the first-ever U-16 decider.

On Thursday, U-18 national championship featuring country’s top junior players, starts at the same venue.
