KARACHI: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) on Monday announced its plan to conduct biometric verification of all its users with personal accounts as well as authorised signatories of corporate and commercial entities under the directives of the State Bank of Pakistan.

“Hence, to ensure safe and secure banking to all our customers, you are requested to approach any nearest NBP branch to get biometric verification done for your respective accounts,” said the bank’s press release.

Moreover, it warns that, “in the event of failure to perform biometric verification within provided timelines, NBP reserves the right to block account operations.”
