Nadra form & minors

Published December 15, 2018

WHILE I was filling in the form for my six-year-old daughter for a NICOP, I came across a requirement that was confusing.

Though the form does not require the fingerprints of a minor, it demands the signature of the applicant. However, the form does not state who should be the applicant for the child, whether it should be one or both parents.

I lodged a complaint in this respect on the National Database and Registration Authority’s website and what I got in response was a repetition of the information already available on their website.

I request the Nadra authorities to update their FAQs and other information available on their website.
