MARDAN: Two brothers were shot dead and their other brother was seriously injured over a land dispute in Khudai Noor locality here on Friday.

Jabbar police station officials said that according to preliminary investigations a land dispute was going on between uncles and nephews. Sources said that the victims identified as Thaza Khan, Sherdil Khan and Azam Khan were preparing their agriculture field when their nephews named Fayaz Khan, Gohar and Imtiaz allegedly opened indiscriminate firing on them.

As a result, Sherdil Khan and Thaza Khan died on the spot, while their third brother Azam Khan was taken to the Mardan Medical Complex Hospital in critical condition by officials of the Rescue 1122. After committing the crime, the attackers fled the scene.

The officials of Jabbar police station have registered an FIR against the alleged attackers.
