Power suspension

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced six hours power suspension in some areas on different days due to maintenance work on transmission lines in the provincial metropolis.

According to a statement, the consumers of Shahi Bagh 1 and 2, and Bashirabad 1 and 2 will face inconvenience on Dec 16 and 18 from 9am to 3pm. Similarly, the residents of Hayatabad 1, 2, and 3 and North West Hospital will be affected on Dec 18 from 9am to 3pm.

Pesco also claimed to have removed 164 illegal connections and arrested 48 people for power theft in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.

It was stated that operation against illegal power connections had been carried out in Mardan cantonment, Shiekh Maltoon, Gojar Ghari, Turu and Bisham besides some areas of Swat circle.
