‘Ameena Saiyid retires from OUP’

KARACHI: A brief state­ment released here on Wednesday says that Ameena Saiyid has retired from Oxford University Press.

“After 30 years with Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan, Ms Ameena Saiyid, OBE has announced her retirement. She would like to wish her former colleagues well and thank those who worked closely with her to help OUP Pakistan grow,” it says.

“She will continue to work tirelessly as always to promote education, the culture of reading and writing in Pakistan as well as literature festivals,” the statement concludes.
