Talking to journalists by telephone here on Tuesday, he said that Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan did not oppose it, so it was sent to the standing committee for further action.

The MNA said that he had contended in the bill that Chitral had two constituencies of provincial assembly till the general elections 2018 when it was curtailed to one. “Now the district has been bifurcated and it will not be possible for one MPA to cover two districts,” he added.
