QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Monday launched a three-day polio eradication campaign across the province by administrating vaccination drops to children below the age of five in the Quetta Civil Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said it was the responsibility of every member of society and individual to come forward and play his/her role in making the country and Balochistan polio-free.

He said the government was making all-out efforts to eliminate the polio virus. “Without collective and concerted efforts we can’t win this battle against the disease”.

The Balochistan Health Department has launched a three-day anti-polio campaign in 33 districts of the province, but the drive will continue for five days in high-risk districts of Quetta, Pishin and Qila Abdullah.
