LAHORE: A magnificent four-goal performance by Nicholas Maria Ruiz and a hat-trick by Raja Arslan Najeeb guided PBG/Remounts to a 7-4 victory over AOS Polo here at the Lahore Open Polo Championship on Wednesday.

Hashim Kamal Agha slammed in a hat-trick while Goffredo Cutinelli contributed one goal for AOS Polo.

AOS Polo opened their account through a fine field goal from Hashim Kamal. However, the lead couldn’t last long as Nicholas equalised. In the dying moments of the first chukker, Hashim struck second goal to help his side regain lead.

Despite a number of attacks on either side no goal came in as the second chukker remained goalless.

A highly-charged third chukker saw PBG/Remounts dominate it fully smashing five goals while AOS could add just one as their opponents took a 6-3 lead. Raja Arslan hammered a hat-trick and Nicholas netted two. For the losing side Goffredo struck one.

In the fourth chukker, both the sides added one goal apiece. Hashim scored for losing side and Nicholas for winning side to make the tally.
