PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced power suspension from six to nine hours on Nov 24, 26 and 28 due to maintenance work on its transmission lines in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It was stated that consumers of different areas in Swat, including Marghuzar,Mingora, Saidu Sharif, Saidu Baba, Kabal and Barikot would face inconvenience from 9am to 3pm on Nov 24, 26 and 28.

Similarly, the people of Charbagh, Shen, Shangla and Matta would be affected on Nov 26 and 28 from 8am to 2pm.

It stated that power supply would remain suspended on Nov 24 from 7am to 4pm in Mardan.

Meanwhile, during its ongoing drive against power stealing 12 people were arrested for taking direct illegal connections in the areas of Shaikh Maltoon, Mardan.

The police have registered FIRs against the power thieves.

In a related development, the Pesco reshuffled some of its officials, including Shahid Farooq who had been posted as SDO Landi Arbab sub-division of Khyber circle, Amjad Naeem SDO Domail sub-division of Bannu circle, Khan Alam SDO Pabbi-1 sub-division of Khyber circle, Abbas Ali Shah SDO Akora Khattak sub-division and Saeed Mohammad Khan as revenue officer DI Khan city division.
