LAHORE: More rain and snowfall over the hills further dipped temperatures on Wednesday, intensifying the premature winter over the hills.

It remained cloudy to partly cloudy in Lahore and intermittent drizzle started in the evening, making the weather cold.

The Met department said rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while it drizzled in Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Multan divisions, Lasbella and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Malamjabba recorded 22mm of rain, Pattan 16, Dir (Lower16), Balakot 8, Parachinar, Saidu Sharif, Kakul 4, Murree 15, Sialkot 8, Rawalpindi 2, Rawalakot and Garidupatta 9, Muzaffarabad 7. Malamjabba received 4 inch of snowfall.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country with shallow foggy conditions over plain areas of Punjab in the next 24 hours. Rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.
