CHARSADDA/Nowshera: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has demanded evenhanded accountability of all big fish, including 438 people whose names are in list of Panama leaks scam.

He was talking to mediapersons after offering his condolences over the death of mother of former MPA Arshad Khan at his residence here the other day.

JI district chief Mohammad Riaz and other office-bearers were also present on the occasion.

Mr Haq said that ‘selective accountability’ would damage the credibility of National Accountability Bureau. He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan should hold intra-party elections in all political parties to strengthen democracy in the country.

He said that this would also end dynastic politics.

The JI chief warned that if relief was not given to the common man in the first 100 days of government, his party would launch a protest campaign.

He said that after coming into power the PTI government had put all the burden on the poor people.

Answering a question regarding Israeli jet, Mr Haq said that doubts still existed despite the government’s denial.

In Nowshera, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal central general secretary Liaquat Baloch said the other day that opposition parties were in contact to reach a one-point agenda of ousting the present government.

Talking to mediapersons, he hoped that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif would accept the invitation to participate in the all-party conference. JI district leaders Inayatur Rehman and Iftikhar Ahmad were also present.

Answering a question, Mr Baloch demanded of the prime minister to take the parliament into confidence over the issue of Israeli jet’s landing in the country.
