KARACHI, June 17: A young man was killed after being kidnapped by unknown persons in Azizabad on Friday. Police said that area residents informed Madadgar 15 that a body was lying outside Muhammadi Ground in Block-8 of Azizabad on Friday morning. Police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem examination.

The victim was later identified as Tehseen Akhtar, 25.

Quoting the family statement, police said that the victim used to teach Holy Quran to children. On Thursday night, he left his Sharifabad residence saying that he was going to Faizan-i-Madina, police said.

Police suspected that he was kidnapped from Sharifabad and later killed somewhere else. The suspects must have dumped the body outside Muhammadi Ground, as nobody there had heard gunshots, police added.

ACCIDNETS: Two persons died in separate road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday.

On Mauripur Road, a young man in early 30’s was hit by an unknown vehicle. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.

In a hit-and-run accident, an unidentified man was knocked down to death within the limits of Baloch Colony early on Friday morning. His body was shifted to the JPMC by an Edhi ambulance.
