KARACHI, June 17: Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad on Friday presented awards to six officials of Anti-Violent Crime Cell, who arrested 11 criminals and recovered arms and looted property from them.

Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi, Home Secretary Brig (Rtd) Ghulam Mohammed Mohtaram, IG Police Asad Jehangir, DIG Investigation Manzoor Mughal and SP Farooq Awan were also present at the ceremony, held at Governor’s House.

The distinguished personnel had arrested accused after detecting their involvement in dacoities and robberies in Defence, Gizri, Darakhshan and Clifton areas and recovered a large number of arms and looted property from their possession.

The governor awarded cheques to Inspector Azam Hussain, Inspector Tasawwar Ameer, Inspector Khuda Bukhsh, ASI Tahir Naseer, Constables Haneef Kazmi and Munawar Jatoi.

He congratulated the police officials. —APP
