NAWABSHAH: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) student Farzana Jamali with a large number of women here on Saturday held a protest demonstration and observed a sit-in outside the Nawabshah Press Club against the vice chancellor and a lecturer of the institution demanding their immediate termination.

The protesters, carrying banners and placards, were chanting slogans against the SBBU VC and the lecturer.

Speaking to the protesters, Farzana Jamali, a final-year student of the SBBU, who had accused the VC and the lecturer of sexual harassment, said it had been more than a month since she had been demanding justice, but the VC and the lecturer were still on the job and no action had been taken against them.

She alleged that the Sindh health minister was supporting the vice chancellor and lecturer for “ulterior motives”. She said she was a daughter of Sindh and was agitating for justice. She said when she raised her voice against the injustice, her father was booked in a fake case and sent to jail.
